Seventy years. Seven journeys

Over the past decades, I have had the privilege of living a life few can imagine — a life filled with journeys across continents, encounters with extraordinary people, and the blessings of sharing my love of exploration with family and guests, many of whom have become lifelong friends.

And yet, even as 2028 approaches, I still feel the pull of the horizon — the urge to seek out new frontiers and test the limits of my curiosity and endurance.

To be perfectly frank, the thought of even writing this blog feels a little mind-boggling, let alone entertaining Hannah’s suggestion that we should create seven iconic expeditions and send out invitations to join. But perhaps, for those who have travelled with me through the decades, it’s not such a foolish idea. Perhaps it’s the perfect way to celebrate!

Chad’s stark beauty and the raw, untouched need for exploration.

Egypt as few have seen it, tracing stories along lost stretches of the Nile.

6. Into the Jungle

Borneo’s ancient rainforests, orangutans, and remote islands.

7. The Grand Finale

a culminating journey that ties every decade of discovery into one unforgettable expedition.

As each expedition takes shape, we’ll be sharing invitations to join. Guest numbers will be deliberately small — just as we like it — preserving the sense of intimacy and exclusivity that makes these journeys so special.
